Largely I agree. Colin Farrell is supposed to be the main character, but it’s all the other characters around him that make this an interesting watch. Walken and Harrelson are the stand outs, though as a follow up to In Bruges it’s a weak mix of thriller and comedy, and not nearly as funny as it thinks it is. Found it to be a much more enjoyable thriller though, with a twisted set of sensibilities at it’s core.

Really want to see this as I really enjoyed In Bruges. The cast is also very impressive and I’d watch anything with Tom Waits in it. Nice write-up man. (by the way, this is completely unrelated but did you know that Dead Can Dance have a new album out?)

I don’t think you’re supposed to like the dog-nappers actually. Nobody is particularly likeable in this.

I wasn’t crazy about the film, so I’m not highly recommending it. If it doesn‘t look good to you, I’d skip it.
